The design for this future invention was created in 2004 but recently displayed at the Design Miami exhibition in 2009.
If you wanted to rearrange you place one day all you have to is give the piece of furniture a lift or shove. The furniture will walk itself across the floor to the exact spot you direct it to. Another really impressive item and hot item made by Sheublin is the walking book case which could be seen in OunoDesign.com. That with a push has a walking platform with legs that "carry the object along using a complex system of cranks, links and connecting rods."
This invention I think is revolutionary that can be more efficient in the future. Moving or as they say walking furniture can help everyone with little or no effort at all.The design to the furniture is genius because It is not mechanical its simply made of cranks and levers. Designs like this can be tons of help to the elderly people who might have the ability to move around heavy furniture around.
