Capture of Major Drug Lord "El Barbie"

A Texas born fugitive known as "The Barbie" a Major Drug Lord. Edgar Valdez Villarreal or known as the barbie was a former Texas football player and was jumped into the Mexican drug world. As he grew into the ranks he kept on growing more dangerous and has smuggled tons of cocaine to Mexico from the U.S. He is blamed for a brutal turf war that has included bodies hung from bridges, decapitations and shootouts as he and a rival fought for control of the divided Beltran Leyva cartel.

Facundo was the officer in charge to try and find Valdez and he was working on the case for over a year. An official said "We were on his heels for the last six weeks, receiving tips, but Mexican law enforcement would show up and they would miss him. He was feeling the heat of Mexican law enforcement,". Valdez was said to be the most wanted criminal of Mexico to this day and will be trailed to pay for what he has done in the county of Mexico.

Valdez was captured in Mexico there fore the united states want him to be deported to face trials for the crimes he has committed in the US. "He was born and raised in Texas. His family's here. There's no Mexican citizenship at all," Schaffer told The Associated Press. "Mexico may not be so eager to hand him over, but it would be the smartest thing for Mexico to do politically.". Facundo said deportation was a possibility but he would prefer he face justice in Mexico however, he said the final decision would be up to the federal Attorney Generals Office.

My personal over view of this situation is to have Valdez deported to the US. This because we have a more secure penitentiary system. Still have him face all the punishment deserved and give him all the accounts of murder in Mexico just have the sentence in our country. This being said what i truly think should happen to this infamous drug cartel is be given the death sentence for smuggling so many drugs in and out of the US and being responsible for over 28,000 lives.
